New Carotek Team Members - Q1 2025

Her main job duties are inventory management related, cycle counting, purchasing, and handling excess and obsolete inventory. Ashley graduated from UNC-Charlotte with a Bachelor of Business Administration specializing in Operations and Supply Chain Management, with a minor in Management Information Systems, and a BBA in Finance. She was also a member of the Association of Supply Chain Management at UNCC, the Women in Business Club, and did marketing for the UNCC Formula Society of Automotive Engineers race team.

Tee’s duties are assisting customers with orders in our municipal department. Tee graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management.

Zach graduates from University of Georgia with a Mechanical Engineering degree. He is a self-proclaimed nerd, and was on the Engineering and Math Club teams, and did two internships - Novelis where he performed job duties similar to a design engineer, and Xylem/Flygt as an Inside Sales Engineer. Upon graduation from college, he transitioned into an outside sales role.

Sam graduated from West Virginia University, where he studied Industrial Engineering. He worked at Onsemi as an Industrial Engineer. Onsemi is the oldest manufacturer of semi-conductors in United States. He then transitioned to technical sales with System Service Corporation in Raleigh. Sam sold a variety of process instrumentation equipment across the state of North Carolina.

He is responsible for setting pricing strategy and executing Carotek's pricing model. David brings with him over 30 years of experience working as a Pricing Manager or similar role. David graduated from UNC-Greensboro where he earned two bachelor's degrees, one in Economics and one in History, and an MBA from American Intercontinental University. David has worked for Lowe's Corporate as Pricing Systems Manager, Pricing Manager at Wurth Wood Group, Pricing Initiatives Manager for American Tire Distributors, and most recently Pricing Manager for NSI.

Taris duties include working on direct invoicing, cash applications, and Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable reporting. Taris is in her first year of studies at UNC- Charlotte (UNCC) majoring in Accounting.

Chris graduated from Mississippi State University with Business Administration and Industrial and Systems Engineering degrees. He completed two co-ops with Mercedes- Benz in Logistics, New Project Management, and Supplier Quality Engineering. He also interned at SageNet as a Process Engineer, was President of the Industrial and Systems Engineering Representatives Club, Present of College of Engineering Ambassadors, Secretary for Alumni Delegates, and played intramural Volleyball, Soccer, and Softball.

Rhett is responsible for compiling sales information into daily sales reports, invoicing and posting payments for sales commissions received from vendors. Rhett graduated from USC with his Business Administration degree majoring in Accounting. He started his Accounting career at The Brittingham Group as Staff Auditor. He stayed there for a few years, leaving to pursue his CPA, which he passed and is certified, he is working on getting his licensure.

Scott is responsible for mentoring account managers, as well as growing sales with existing customers, generating business with new customers, and nurturing relationships with the manufacturers we represent. Scott most recently worked at Roper Pumps as an Application Engineer, then Southeast Regional Sales Manager.

He is responsible for reading pick lists, staging materials, assembling crating containers, processing open pick tickets, verifying incoming shipments, storing, maintaining inventory, operating forklift, and maintaining the shop floor in an organized manner.

Her responsibilities include providing outstanding service to our customers and support to the outside sales staff regarding mechanical equipment orders. Raegan graduated from Nazareth University in Rochester, NY with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Business. After college she worked at Pulsafeeder in Rochester, NY.

His primary responsibilities are disassembly, inspection, and repair of all makes and models of centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, blowers, vacuum pumps, and a variety of other pumping machines. Nick earned his Associates in Welding Technology Degree from Central Piedmont Community College. He one day hopes to earn his Certified Welding Inspector license.

Caton is responsible for planning, laying out and assembling all types of piping systems, supports and related equipment, in accordance with industry specifications. Caton is enrolled at York Technical College for his Welding degree, taking classes at night after his shift at Carotek ends.

Daniel is responsible for assembling electrical control panels for industrial equipment. As well as fabricating controls according to specifications, including layout and physical mounting of components to the back panel and wiring of all components. Daniel was in the Marine Corps and served as a Ground Radio Intermediate Technician for five years, receiving an honorable discharge. We thank you for your service to our great country Daniel! Upon leaving the Marine Core, Daniel relocated to Pennsylvania and held electrical related positions including panel building. He most recently worked at Scott Automation in Charlotte as an electrical assembler. Altogether Daniel has over 15 years electrical assembly and panel building experience.

Jeff has joined recently as our Filtration Sales Specialist. Jeff graduated from Butler University with a major in International Business Management. Jeff has worked in outside sales for SMC Corporation, FloDraulic Group Inc., and Franklin Electric Fueling Systems. Jeff is no stranger to the SunSource family of companies, he worked at SunSource for close to ten years selling filtration and other products.

Nick will be responsible for estimating, designing, and managing Mechanical Process SKIDS and other custom industrial equipment projects from concept through build.Nick graduated from UNC-Charlotte with a Mechanical Engineering degree. He worked for Micro-Epsilon America in Raleigh as an Applications Engineer, Senior Applications Engineer & the Applications Lab Manager. After four years there, he moved to Concord to be closer to family. Nick worked at Barnhardt Manufacturing as a Process Improvement Engineer here in Charlotte for two years prior to coming to Carotek.
