What is a refractometer?
Light bends when it crosses the boundary between one medium and another. Using this principle of refraction, known as the refractive index (RI), a refractometer measures the concentration of a particular substance in a liquid solution. Vaisala Refractometers are commonly used to determine the concentration of dissolved solids by making an optical measurement of a solution’s refractive index.
