Edge Welded Metal Bellow Seals

Edge welded metal bellows are the problem solvers of the sealing industry, earning a reputation for versatility and reliability.  They are the best solution to many common sealing challenges such as harsh applications or pump alignment issues. They can reliably operate in a wide range of applications and temperatures. Our standard metal bellows can operate in conditions up to 400° F, while high-temperature metal bellows can reliably handle up to 800°F. Flexaseal also specializes in cryogenic bellows seals and specially engineered metal bellow devices for vacuum applications.

Models:

40/42/45 Low-Temperature (up to 400 degrees F)

Operating Conditions

Max Temp:

400ºF (204ºC)

Max Pressure:

300 PSI (20 bar)

Max Speed:

4500 FPM (22 m/sec)

Note: Max Temperature / pressure / speed indicate operating extremes independently and do not imply the seal will function at these extremes at the same time.

60/62/64/65 High Temperature (up to 800 degrees F)

OPERATING CONDITIONS FOR ROTATING HIGH TEMPERATURE BELLOWS DESIGNS

Max Temp:

800ºF (425ºC)

Max Pressure:

300 psi (20 bar)

Shaft Speeds to:

4500 sfpm (22 m/sec)

OPERATING CONDITIONS FOR STATIONARY HIGH TEMPERATURE BELLOWS DESIGNS

Max Temp:

800ºF (425ºC)

Max Pressure:

300 psi (20 bar)

Shaft Speeds to:

10,000 sfpm (50 m/sec)

Note: Maximum Temperature / pressure / speed indicate operating extremes independently and do not imply the seal will function at these extremes at the same time.

Cryogenic Seals

Flexaseal manufactures a line of stationary edge welded metal bellows component seals for cryogenic pumps such as Cryostar, ACD™, Grofe®, JC Carter™, Airco Paul, and Cosmodyne™ just to name a few.

OPERATING CONDITIONS

Temperatures:

To -425°F (-253°C)

Pressures:

To 200 psi (13.75 bar)

Note: Max temperature and pressures indicate operating extremes independently and do not imply the seal will function at these extremes at the same time.

Hermetic Seals

Whether the equipment is downhole lifts, filter dryers, freeze dryers, compressors, volume compensators, actuators, vibration dampers, semi-conductor, aerospace vacuum systems, energy generation, pharmaceutical, wafer lifts, or valves our hermetic bellows designs are custom engineered for high cycle life.
