New Carotek Team Members - August 2022

Please join me in welcoming Tiffany Barnes to the Mechanical Products Group in the Matthews office. Tiffany fills an Inside Sales Representative role primarily focusing on the Gardner Denver product line. Tiffany possesses 14+ years of customer service experience having held positions as Account Manager with Logistics Supply, Risk Advisor with Guided Insurance Solutions and Inside Sales Specialist with American Wick Drain where she collaborated across cross-functional teams to increase productivity, elevate the customer experience, and successfully achieve yearly sales quotas.

An Indian Trail, NC native, Tiffany grew up in Hemby Bridge. She and her husband, Larry, have three children (23, 18 and 16 years of age), four dogs and seven cats.  Softball is a passion - she played outfield four years at Pfeiffer University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree and she is currently the Softball Commissioner for Porter Ridge Athletic Association. She enjoys the mountains and hiking, with her biggest trek – the top of Mt. Mitchell (elevation 6,684 feet) with her son’s boy scout troop.

Tamara Farah recently joined Carotek as an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist. Tamara earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of North Carolina Greensboro and has nine (9) years of experience working in various accounting capacities. She started her career with PepsiCo, shifted to H & R Block as Tax Preparer/Bookkeeper and then to an Accountant role with Computerway Food Systems in High Point, NC. Her most recent position was that of an Accountant with G & T Auto Transport.

Originally from Jordan, Tamara grew up in Israel and immigrated to the United States 18 years ago. She and her husband, Geries, have a 3-year-old daughter who keeps them quite busy! When time allows, she enjoys traveling, cooking and reading. Romance novels and Accounting-related books (for those nights when insomnia strikes!) are a go to for relaxation.

Brendan joins us as an Inside Sales Representative in Virginia supporting the Gardner Denver, Peerless, Standard Exchange and Grundfos product lines. Prior to joining Carotek, he was a Sales Representative with Motion Trailer Worx where he provided exceptional customer service throughout the entire sales process to satisfy and exceed customer expectations. Inside Sales at West Creek Financial and Account Manager at Mission Lane are also part of Brendan’s work experience.

Brendan holds a B.A. in Sports Management from Old Dominion University with a Minor in Marketing. Volleyball is a great passion of his. He has served as Men’s Club Volleyball President, Sports Club Executive Board Member and a Volunteer Volleyball Coach at a local school.  Brendan is native to Richmond, VA. In addition to sports, he enjoys going to breweries with his four-legged friend, Doug, and binge watching The Wire, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad and Stranger Things.

Janet joins the Virginia Products Group as an Inside Sales Representative, focusing on the Wilden and Eaton product lines.

With over 20 years in sales and customer service, Janet is devoted to delivering exceptional customer service. Her most recent position was Account Manager with Sauer Brands where responsibilities included collaboration with the Transportation, Finance, Manufacturing and Field Sales departments to ensure timely and accurate execution of orders. Inside Sales with Daltile Industries, Sr. Recoveries Coordinator with Capital One and Customer Service Advocate with Anthem/BCBS are also part of her history.

Originally from Richmond, VA, Janet loves going to her grandson’s soccer and baseball games.  When not on the sidelines rooting him on, she enjoys camping, four-wheeling, being at the pool or hanging out with family and friends.  Always looking for that special deal, garage sales and flea markets occupy her weekends.

Caitlin Walker is an Account Manager in Tennessee within the Instrumentation and Valves Divisions. Caitlin has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and an Associates of Applied Science in General Engineering from Chattanooga State Community College. Prior to joining Carotek, Caitlin was with W.R. Grace & Co. as a Maintenance & Engineering Document Control Specialist managing databases, P&ID’s, preparing purchase requisitions for construction materials, engineering supplies and more.  Other experience includes having held a Macro Design Drafter position with TeleCAD where she provided leadership, planning and coordination to support environmental compliance at TVA Coal, Gas, Hydro, Nuclear and Transmission facilities.

Originally from Knoxville, Caitlin currently lives in a suburb of Chattanooga.  She enjoys hiking with her two dogs, thrifting with her roommates, craft beer and spending time with family and friends.

Jason joins the organization as a Piping Designer in the Mechanical Shop.

Jason brings over 13 years of pipefitting experience to the family. Previous positions have included Mechanical/Piping Supervisor at Southern Industrial, Mechanical Piping Foreman with Msi and Pipefitter at Parsons and EW Brown Powerhouse.

Holding the rank of E-3 with the Navy, Jason is a Gulf War Veteran. A Rock Hill, SC native he is a die hard, lifelong Clemson football fan! When it’s not college football season, he enjoys spending time with his two grown daughters, two grandchildren and fishing.
