Carotek offers the highly efficient and durable Standard Xchange Brazepak units ideal for refrigerant condensers and evaporators. The many HVAC applications of the stainless steel, copper brazed plate units with optional Nickel braze material, offer a Max Flow of 800 GPM in areas up to 365 square feet.

Carotek also offers Brazepak Low Pressure heat exchangers with vacuum brazed, stacked plate construction in 304L Stainless Steel ¾" to 1". Brazepak Stainless steel/copper vacuum-brazed and stacked plate units come in sizes 1" and 2".

The Semi-welded Gasketed Plate and Frame Plateflow Heat Exchanger is exceptional for refrigerant or corrosive chemical applications, and is ideal for situations where reducing the fluid's contact with elastomers is desired.

Plateflow Gasketed Plate and Frame Free-Flow Heat Exchanger models have plate gaps that can handle fluids with pulp or fibrous particles up to 2mm in diameter and are up to 5mm long. Free-Flow models range in sizes from 4.6mm to 12mm. The Plateflow Countercurrent flow maximizes the mean temperature difference between fluids. This means more heat transfer in less space. Our Gasketed plate and frame heat exchangers are available in chevron-style heat transfer plates.

Standard Shell & Tube

Gasketed Plate Heat Exchanger

Carotek carries the Standard Xchange Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger which provides maximum heat transfer with easily interchangeable flanged lip baffles ensuring close tolerances for highly efficient tube support. The tube design can also be steam or mechanically cleaned for easy maintenance. Tube and shell exchangers are less costly than bundle exchangers and are available in same day, three-day, or five-day Quick Ship options.

Shell and Tube heat exchangers are pre-engineered and come in Brass 316 stainless steel and carbon steel options.

  • Gasketed Plate Heat ExchangerBCF - copper alloy shell and tube heat exchanger offers a straight tube with a fixed tubesheet and can cover areas as large as 124 square feet
  • Chemical Process Heat ExchangerHCF - copper alloy shell and tube heat exchanger covers areas up to 247 square feet with shell diameters from 2" to 8" and 3/8" and 5/8" OD tube options
  • Chemical Process Heat ExchangerSX2000 - Carbon Steel/copper tubes covers areas up to 136.7 square feet
  • Chemical Process Heat ExchangerSSCF Exchanger - heats surfaces from 1.2 to 576 square feet. All fluid contact parts of the exchanger are made in 316 stainless steel
  • Chemical Process Heat ExchangerB300/SX2000U - steel shell U-Tube heat exchanger covers areas up to 1900 square feet with shell diameters from 4" to 29" and tubes measuring ¾"

Custom Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers

If you haven't found the right configuration of heat exchanger for your application, Carotek also offers Standard Xchange Custom Designed heat exchangers to meet your specific requirements. Custom designs come with fixed tubesheets or removable bundles ranging from 5" to 60" in diameter. All custom models also meet standard code requirements.
